IMG_0388-1THE RUN DOWN

If you are planning your first race
or tenth marathon, ALARC has
the right training program.
Whether you have a
training base or want to
run your first 5K race. If
you have commitment and
dedication, we have a program
that will carry you across the
finish line anywhere in the world.
The Distance Training Program is based on an 8
week training curriculum written by Bill Wenmark.
For more than 20 years this program, faculty and
facilitators have seen thousands of people, from
the age of 18-73, finish their first 5K, 10K, Half
Marathon or Full Marathon.
The classes are held at the Hopkins Lindbergh
Community Center near the intersection of
Highways 394 and 169. We will meet each
Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. for a training
run followed by a one-hour academic session.
Saturday morning training runs at a variety of
different locations are also available that will take
you from three miles to two 20 mile runs, if in the
Marathon Program. This is the most successful
marathon training program in the U.S. with a
99.5% success rate.
